Haileybury Boys - XV vs  St Albans School

Haileybury produced a stunning display of power, pace and skill against their local rivals. St. Albans couldn't cope with a rapidly improving team. The outstanding Kapeileli Pifiletti was everywhere early on making big hits and gaining ground with every carry. He scored two superb tries early on to along with efforts from Kyle Douglas and Spencer Owen. Kyle Douglas try was a superb team try with an incredible offload from prominent lock Matt Cook. St Albans showed a lot of spirit to fight back and scored to make the half time score 28-5 to the hosts.

In the second half Haileybury continued in the same vein and St Albans couldn't hold back the tide as tries from prolific try scoring prop Will Mckenna, outstanding fly half Sam Cappaert, Jamie Hoyes (2), captain fantastic Ed Harris and substitute Martin Pearce meant Haileybury scored ten tries for the second game in a row. Cappaert kicked 8 from 8 conversions and Harry Collins finished with 2 more from 2 attempts.

Haileybury move on to two big tests before with half term as they take on the undefeated Stamford at home which should be a cracker before playing Eton, who are enjoying a good season, at Allianz Park in Haileybury's traditional showpiece game. Vice-captain Spencer Owen said after the game, ' We are playing some good stuff and everyone is contributing but we have to play like this under pressure as well. We are looking forward to taking on Stamford next week.'
