A typically tough derby match saw Felsted score with the last play of the game and win the match. Haileybury played some great rugby but weren't clinical enough in a dominant first half display. Finn Newton scored a length of the field try from a quick tap after a great assist by Fraser Rawlins. That man Rawlins also got on the scoreboard and Haileybury led at half time.

Haileybury led 15-12 after a Newton penalty but after catching the kick off and being ready to launch another a technical penalty was awarded and Felsted levelled. Haileybuyr came back strongly and after some great play Newton slotted another penalty to give them an 18-15 lead with 5 to go. Felsted won possession and after some good play scored out wide. The kicker ran the clock down and there wasn't time to kick off. A disappointing defeat but the home side can learn from this and improve for the rest of the season. Lucas Osman was outstanding up front.
